Town days in Karczew, Poland. A funfair, a carousel, the “Crazy” ride spinning its last loop. Black clouds gather, the first thunder rolls in. Then a sudden gale — umbrellas useless, people scrambling for cover.
The game’s creator finds a sliver of shelter, surrounded by strangers hiding from the downpour. Rain hammering, thunder cracking, everyone laughing yet glancing nervously at the sky. And then he pulls out his phone, opens AXE vs BOTTLES and… plays. In the middle of the storm.
“Right after the downpour the sun came out, and a double rainbow rose over Karczew — one arch above the other. That’s when I knew this little game had something real in it.”
That double rainbow is now in the game — sometimes it rises over the arena after you clear a wave. A little tribute to Karczew, hometown of the studio behind it, DTL Digital.
